Abstract:

This research project explores the use of internet of things (IoT) sensors for real time measurement, modeling and forecasting of economic activity. The research application focuses on i) measuring the presence of economic agents and the volume and value of economic events; and ii) considers approaches for model discovery and forecasting of economic activity in real time environments as the aggregate of economic events across space and time.
